So, how many are we now? Across all platforms and groups?

around 46k, 20k in Mobius, 20k in Mobius PvE, 3k in Mobius PvE Eurasia, 70 in Mobius PvE America, 1160 in the PS4 groups, 550 in MobiusX EU, 700 in MobiusX US and 1050 in Mobius Factions

Impressive

It's a shame the devs haven't addressed improvements to the private group scheme, such as management and raising the member cap, perhaps it's complicated. But imagine a singular Mobius group with a 46k+ membership. That would lower the odds of one meeting other commanders in the core systems at least.

So wait, there's only 70 people in Mobius PvE America? As someone who just signed up that's actually pretty disappointing: the main appeal of joining a large group like Mobius was the population density. If there's only 70 people around the odds of actually running into someone are practically the same as playing solo.

I get that the issue must be that 20k member cap, and that there's not really anything that can be done about it. But still, it's disappointing.

that was the figure on jan 3rd, another 200 have joined since then and we are getting 20 - 30 more joins a day. in short, it wont be underpopulated for long.

Blame FD and rally for an official PvE mode.

It really is. I think FD taking an axe to our group is the main reason I don't play anymore. If they can have an open PvP mode with millions, I see no reason why they can't also have an open PvE mode, but if they don't want that, then allow Mobius to expand instead.

It's simple really,

The group server mechanic literally broke when Mobius got up to 21000 members.
And FD literally has no idea why, and they really don't see much of a motivation to figure it out either.
Could also be an amazon server issue.

As for a pve only mode, how would that work in practicallity ?

Concord level police response instantly vapourising you?
Doesn't work in Eve, why should it here.
Huge fines and bounties ?
Would only become a honor badge.
Instant kick to menu when you hit a player ?
False positives would be an issue, and we end up having the reverse troll's.
That on purpose fly in front of your ship to earn said response.

In all honesty the current solution is the best solution, far from perfect yes, but still the best solution.
