You'll get more than just the desired attention that way!

That's always a good plan. You might also want to check whether your target is in a wing before you start shooting.

It's easy, go to HAZ res.
Find target.

Shoot target until someone dies.

Rule 1: Pillage. Then burn.
Rule 2: No such thing as overkill, as long as there are reloads.

Hang with the local security and wait for them to pick on someone, then jump in when shields go down and steal the bounty from them?

I go to HiRes sites (tried Nav Beacons, but they're slow), and either shoot at what security are shooting at (after a scan). Or, if I get scanned, and the NPC scanning me is Wanted, and of significantly higher rank than me, I will follow him around until he either jumps out, or security starting shooting at him. If the rank is not too much higher, the same, or lower, I start shooting first.

The above has worked quite well for me, as well as been lucrative to boot.

I'm currently using fixed weps on my FAS. The kill rate is far far slower but each feels far more satisfying because it's like a proper dogfight.
Especially against something slippery like an Eagle.

One thing I noticed moving from gimbal to fixed is you might want to ease off a bit.
The way I used my FAS was about the same as my vulture.

Get in to 100-300m or less, and hug the PP weakspots.
With fixed this style is a little to erratic, so you would want to drop back to about 800-1200m.

And for small targets, I find still selecting a sub module will give you a bullseye to aim for, not so much about hitting the module itself.

Just keep your guns effective range in the back of your mind. But pulling out to about the 1km mark I can routinely kill off SLF's in my corvette and C4 fixed beams.

Any advanced multi-role wing combat tactics?

I was CGing in a Haz RES this weekend in a wing of two (fist time in collabotation with Conda, then with Vette, both with on-board fighter). I fly FDL with 2.5 sec engineered KWS, so my wingman picks a target, I scan and engage it, then we both finish it off (KWS data is shared with all wingmen, you can bound a key to "Select 1st/2nd/3rd wingman" and "Select wingman target"). It was pretty fun and relatively safe. Want to try in in larger wing.

That's about the way we do it......

One person calls.....That way it does not get confusing......

Either he if he has a KWS or someone else scans it and calls scanned.......

All hell then breaks loose and 2 secs later the target is dust......

:D
