Type 10 Defender Buyer's Guide

Don't. This thing is the Cobra IV all over again and it will cost you 600 mil this time to A-rate. Even with 7A thrusters it can't hit 180 meters per second and it doesn't turn any better than the Type 9. It is too unmaneuverable to be anything but a support ship for wing play and too slow to even do that right as any enemy will simply stroll away from you at their leisure. All those hardpoints are wasted as the distributer won't support them and if all you want it for is to launch a fighter the Kneelback will do it. The only thing I see this being useful for is as a mining ship that can defend itself decently. Sad...

Have you even flown one ?
Doesn't sound like it.

Manoeuvrability is almost on par with my conda, and is missing a class 4 hardpoint, but all the hardpoint it has is almost as well positioned as my corvette.
It does 280ms boost.
It's not going to replace neither of the ol' big three, but honestly I prefer the t10 over the conda now.
Thruster response (left, right, up, down) is even better than the t9, and this was one of the things the old t9 did very well.

It's a game where money is readily available when you are in this stage of play, and trying one would not really cost more than 13 million AT MOST.
That's like two skimmer kill missions.

problem is, the test flight is at least a 10 million credits ticket yes :) at your stage it's two skimmer kill mission, at mine it would be 7 or 8. for most it's hours of "gameplay" wasted in trying a ship...

I watched a stream or two about the T10 and, although i wouldn't call it a Cobra MK4 ersatsz, it's pretty bad.
It makes me think of what a beefed Fed gunship would be. Big hull tank with guns, good for thargoid hunting and just that. Ain't my bag so i'll pass too.

Yes, BOOST speed is 280 or so. Flight is high 170's and that just won't cut it for me. I haven't flown it that much yet but it deffinately is a cow even compared to the Anaconda--which is about the slowest ship you can reasonably solo dog-fight with. As to the cost of trying it--yeah, sure, fine. But 600 mil is the cost to own it (A-Rated) so that's what counts and is this a 600 mil ship? Hells no I say.

I will buy one, engineer it and use it as a module storage if I do not like it :)
For this it is perfect :)

I will be cashing in my Conda for the Type 10. And that spoiler is to die for! Now we really need fluffy dice in the store.

Good week for having a bushy moustache and red-neck activities.

T10 in ED and Pcars 2 got a bunch of Rally cross and drift cars and my so far a favourite. The 1966 Mustang fastback :)

I might just as well mount some fuzzy dice to my pit.

I put the holiday light string instead...:)

The T10 is selling like hot cakes. I run into at least 5 at Jameson's and one at Felicity's

Well for players like me.
The last ship I had any interest in was the corvette and I have had that for two years now.
Since then I have had virtually nothing to spend money on.

And unlike new ships before. This had no beta release period so naturally anyone with a few hundred million to spare checks it out.
