I am crossing fingers for good jump range on these. Given my level of interest in combat, i tend to stay away from ships that have shit range.. even if they are buffed like a cannon with engines around it..
These two look awesome anyway and hopefully won't be a stupid rank and money grind to obtain.

Actually, in the presentation they specifically said Alliance ships, plural. So I guess the rank is incoming. Which makes me wish they unlock ranks before the ships, so for once we can prepare. Because I definitely want a Chieftain.

Both ships look pretty cool. Might add them to my fleet. Trying to do the Aliance ranking hopefully will be more interesting than the Fed and Imp ranking.
My hope is that together with the new Alliance ships, FDev would implement a military career type mission system which gets you the required rank. In my dreams, this would be a story based mission system, with the story popping up every few missions.

I'm just trying to think of other Alliance ships from the old games, but the only one that I can come up with is the Saker Mk3. Not sure I want that in the game
