Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

Hypothetical question I know, but one I sometimes think about and would love to know other commanders selection. If the rules changed and you were only allowed one ship, which ship out of your fleet would you choose?

For me its a very easy answer, it would be my Python. Like everyone else I have ships that I have fine tuned for specific roles that the Python cannot hope to match, but IMO the Python is the very best multi-purpose ship in the game. However I am sure that commanders who choose a different role in the game to me would choose a different ship?

Depends upon were you are in your game, however I think the Python would be a good choice.

The python, hasn't really adapted to well to the new "face tank" paradigm of npc's.
unless you stock up on scb's and heatsinks.

Of all the ships I've piloted only a handful I thoroughly enjoyed;
Anaconda with its S.L.F., feels like a tank in a knife fight
Cobra III, all the nostalgia coming back, flew it to Sag A* and back
Cobra IV and Python, Swiss army knife, can do pretty much anything in the game
Keelback, perfect little mission runner and has a S.L.F.

but the one ship I keep going back to is the Fer-de-Lance. If you made me choose one ship and one ship alone, it'd have to be the Fer-de-Lance.

If I was forced, it would be a hard choice. Cobra Mk. III or Python.

The Python is amazing. Can fight, can run, can land anywhere and carry a hell of a lot for its size. The Cobra may be down on Cargo and be more fragile and under-gunned, but it is hands down a better ship to actually fly. Faster, more agile, better jump range, and has about the same cockpit view.

I made hundreds of millions in my Cobra and dearly love it. Lost it only once, avenged that death 100 times over. I became genuinely upset when I lost my Cobra that once. My Python has been lost over a doyen times and most of the time I was like "Ah Crap!" and shook my head, took a deep breath, and played on. The Cobra loss caused me to close the game down and walk away.

I was wrong, it would not be a hard choice. Cobra Mk.III

Even Cmdr. A-Team loves his CobraMk.III

But not that Cobra Mk.IV.

The head says Python as its obviously gonna serve you best across all situations.
My heart says Cobra MkIII; man that thing is beautiful to fly and, similar to Loriath, I lost one once time and it still haunts me. Fucking Starship One above Mars. Escorts took me out with virtually no warning!
