Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

Commander TheZorch here, I'm wondering where do most of you hang out? It's a big galaxy out there and I haven't seen any other players yet since joining Mobius.

My roomy (Tygra Kahn) and I were hanging out in La Tenha for a while until they went to Civil War, then we moved to Thunderbird since we're not ready to deal with that sort of thing yet, but they don't have much in the way of the tech and upgrades we need so we made the long trek (long for us) to Lugh.

I've heard the name Colonia mentioned on Youtube, by Blind Pew actually. That is a long way away for us right now. So, where do most of you plant your flag? If I see any of you I'll make sure fly by and wave "hi".

You'll find a lot of Commanders working for our faction The Order of Mobius in and around the area of Azrael (go here for more information). Other than that CGs tend to attract a fair few as well as Engineer systems.

Also if you add your name to the appropriate in-games friends list, and add those already listed to your in-games friends you get to see where people are.

I really kind of go where the wind takes me for missions or trading, but home is HIP 93377. (Kooi Gateway) They have Pristine metal rings, pristine ice rings, really awesome place for mining, close to ports where the metals sell well, ... Frynn I think. So that's where I keep most of my ships and spare parts.
The kids and wife love to hang out at Haxel Port at LTT 15574 where they swear there is the best bounty hunting, and so forth. And my home port is close to there, so I keep some fighting ships to join them.
Anyways, every time someone says they found a great place for mining or home base I always go check it out, but so far, no other port has come close. Although I'm looking forward to reading the thread and checking out some new places.

I'm like a Ferengi nomad...following profit. When I'm not setting up camp at the site of a CG, I'm back home in Maya.

Currently in CG... during downtime I'm at Exioce.

Wolf 906 with my wing mates, either on the Mobius US branch or in my own PG.

My fleet is split between Azrael and Exioce with the smaller ships being in Azrael and the big 3 plus a long range Asp stationed in Macmillan Terminal.
I tend to return home to base at the end of each day unless I am working a CG, with 50Ly jump ranges on a couple of ships it's never or long to get anywhere in the bubble.

Colonia is the new human bubble but like you say it is a loooong way out. With a long range exploration ship you are looking at approx 10 hrs game time to get there but there is a growing and very active community out there and FDev certainly seem to be pushing for the human bubble 2.0 so no doubt more story driven stuff to come in that area in future.
