Went to Colonia then to Sagg A and zero damage at all so it's definitely not right as others have said. I had an AFMU with me and never used it at all and that was more than 50 Kly round trip.

Every time you get dumped forcibly out of cruise, scoop a little hot etc you take a little damage.
If you spend some time around black holes it's easy to get a little too close.
And of course neutrons and white dwarves put you through the spin cycle.

But if you fly like a Nancy-boy who got Daisy for a co-pilot then you should be perfectly able to circumnavigate the galaxy with nothing but an integrity bill.

It does sound a little extreme though, only explanation I get guess at is you cook the FSD to close to the sun, and you are getting heat damage.
Or of course, the game is buggered.

I recently returned from a trip from bubble to Sagitarius A to Colonia, back to bubble. It took a full calendar month and a lot of hours per day. It was a great trip, I made a lot more money than I expected (but then again, I was flying a fully armed Python with only a 25 LY jump range, so I did a lot of system and planet scanning).

The only damage I incurred was from getting careless and bumping into stars, brain farting and dropping from super cruise too fast. and being attacked a few times (carrying some cargo back from Colonia). Nothing simply deteriorated on my ship, except my paint job.

Certainly try again once you get the issue sorted with Frontier. The trip was a lot of fun, I made a fair bit on money, I saw a lot of interesting things, and I am really glad I made the trip. Although, I admit, not sure I would do that again, but I am glad I did it once.

I got my ticket answered relatively quick, was asked to provide some logs and to tweak some things in a file and the module damage has finally stopped, I just stayed in the exioce area collecting bounties till it was fixed, so i'll try another run to the core again soon

It's working as intended.

Inbuilt feature to prevent excessive boredom after looking at the same stuff after 5 jumps.

Still amazes me how FD managed to make the universe so dull.
