Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

I really wanted to believe open play is relatively safe.

but today i got my first troll,

i was just about to bring a rich tourist home and collect 1mil, when after i arrived a fer de lance pulled me out of frameshift and killed me for no good reason at all, i had no bounties on my head, nor am i aligned with any power play factions.

so yeah, that's it, no more open for me,
I am already part of mobius (pc) but i gave open a chance,

i'll play either solo or join you guys in mobius,

Yeah, THANK you very much for starting mobius! I just want to interact with people, and not be some's troll's meat. so as of now i will be playing in mobius.

Sorry for your loss, although an all too familiar story. I ended my "Open" relationship quite early in the game when some sociopathic little excrement blew my Asp full of "Rares" to bits and for no reason at all. No comms, no nothing. I guess chin-up and all that..

While I am always flying in Open when Fuel Ratting (doesn't work without that) and having no issues so far -- also due a modified well-shielded Anaconda --, even flying PvP at times, I also prefer this excellent group for example at CGs or points of interest for player interaction. It is just too usual to be flattened to the ground / spread out thinly in the void by some ships that are literally undefeatable by non-PvP builds. And Mobius players tend to be quite nice folks.

Yeap, this is the place to be if you want to enjoy E:D in a relaxed way.

I go into Open if I'm far out of the bubble, and sometimes in the bubble if I'm feeling brave. But most of the time I'm in Mobius (PS4 group).

I think it's more that open ain't "sane" - I could live with the danger if there weren't psychos in open.

True. Being pirated etc would be fine but being blown up for no reason isn't.

Im just not interested in open play but ive been waiting for an invite to the xbox mobius for like 4 days now. I hope i can get in soon.
