Help me build my Conda

Hi guys, been playing in Mobius a while now, but only just signed up for the forums and I am looking for some advice. :)

Like the title said - I'm looking for suggestions to build my Anaconda - which I can finally afford!

I've been playing around on Coriolis a bit trying to find a build I like, but thought I would also plunder the hivemind to see what wisdom it can offer. I want to build a good general purpose ship that can go anywhere and do anything: trading, bounties, exploring...

https://coriolis.edcd.io/outfit/anacond ... =prototype

If I sell my entire current fleet, then my total budget is about 260 million - that keeps around 20 million back for rebuy and trade purposes - but for now the lower I come in under budget the better, I can always upgrade to A rated stuff later! :)

I added an Anaconda to my fleet a few weeks ago, and on the good advice of many here, I am just going to use it for cargo for a while, fully D rated except for the A rated FSD, no weapons. In the future I want to make it a grade A combat ship, but its a long time till I have enough credits to do that.

Only my personal opinion I am sure there may be many who might disagree with me, but I would not want to take a 260 million Anaconda into serious battle. I have my other ships that I am willing to do that with until I can fit out the Anaconda the way I want to.

I recommend trying ALL THE THINGS!

Its a reason my outfitting stats are at 30 billion and rising.
I buy and resell modules like a cocker paniel with ADD.

Hah! I probably will be trying multiple different configs - but at the moment I'm trying to find a basic build that will offer me flexibility whilst I experiment :)

PS: TorTorden, I am guessing from your sig that you read Schlock Mercenary?

Probably a bit dated, but I'd bet there's lots of useful info in this thread.

Never heard of it.
Its an old gag from being on TS with certain, and only certain, not all people of an american persuasion, for some reason they could not wrap their heads or tongues around my Nick, and my Nick is much easier than my actual name, which has letters in it not recognized by the American alphabet.

So I just started telling people to call me Bob.

Seems to simplify matters.

Actually I was referring to your two rules down there: 'Pillage, THEN burn' and 'there's no such thing as overkill' - both of these appear in the webcomic Schlock Mercenary as quotes from a 'how to' book called 'The Seventy Maxims of Maximally Effective Mercenaries' :)

Thanks for the link :)

My willpower is weakening... I might be off to see Li Yong-Rui and give him lots of money in exchange for a shiny shiny ship.

It's just my opinion, but I would probably try to avoid combat with the setup you have posted above. With the class 5 distributor and thrusters she's not going to be very agile at all, and your distributor is going to run dry very quickly when you fire the weapons.

I'd wait to do any combat until you can get some higher level modules on board.

The kill warrant scanner is not useful on a cargo hauler nor are the weapons if your ship doesn't have dhe distributor capacity to fire them. Trade those off for a better distributor and/or thrusters.
