Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

Hiyas. I've flown a bit in mobius pve and have met some nice folks. Just now joined the forum here, so thought i would intro. Cmdr Dathayn, class of 84, combat and trade elite, pioneer explorer. Played since launch preorder merc edition. Much appreciate this player group.

Now a question, i couldnt find in the policy...
If on that rare occassion of mode invasion i am attacked by another player in violation of the rules, and i allowed to return fire in defense?

no, as if you did it would be too easy for them to claim you fired first.

Just a thought, could they not accuse you of firing first even if you did not fire at all?

they could, but then they would have to prove it by providing a copy of their journal log, its possible to fake one side of this, but in the case of this sort of accusation we would get the logs from both cmdrs for comparison, this would show who is in the wrong, or would show a mismatch where one log has been edited.

Yeah, but which log would be considered legit, they are simply text files after all.

True, it might be hard to tell, but if you have a look at the text files you would have to do quite a bit of editing, all you would need to do is mistype one character to give the game away. the files are created to be read by java script and we all know how easy it is to get a bug in your code

If any Cmdr attacks me, I just dump out some mines, and watch the light show.
Why would they be following me and ram my defensive mines if they were not up to no good
