Elite: Dangerous is broken until early May

Due to the game breaking friends list bug, I can't play Elite: Dangerous any more. I'll see you guys some time in May. Hopefully...
I'm so extremely disappointed with 2.3 and the way FD is handling it.

For me it seems to have helped to go to Solo mode. I can live with that until the patch is released.

Yeah, dropping to solo, or another smaller group will clear your fps.
Another solution is to unfriend all explorers.
The fps bug is tied to calculated distance to the friend.

Certainly this is one of those few occasions in life where it's better to have no friends.

No seriously, it's long range explorers in the friends list.
Me and the a-team was playing on mobius a few days ago.
One guy logs in on Dawg and Kharma's friend list, and their FPS goes from 60++ to <20.
They see this guy is 20k+ ly out in the boonies and unfriend him, and immediately their fps skyrockets back to normal levels.
Changing to a group where these friends aren't online does sort of the same thing, since ED is only trying to match people in the same group.
And seriously if they are 20k+ away from you how likely is it really they are going to do anything cooperative.
Honestly, if I was out exploring I'd solve this the other way around, and me as the long range explorer played in solo.

I have lots of friends who play in groups and open. I haven't been able to get any kind of decent fps in either.
I haven't tried solo yet, but I guess I'll try to get my fix there if I start to jones too bad.

When I joined Mobius I imported the whole friends list available on this site.
I have only in game contact with a few so when I had this major FPS drop I un-friend 99%
I hope no one is offended
