What do you guys think of the dolphin?

So I've been bounty hunting my whole career in ED, a few weeks ago I upgraded from my Viper Mk4 to a Federal Dropship, love the big stupid thing for hauling and combat. So now I've bought myself a Dolphin and sold the Viper, I've never flown any explorer/passenger ship, but this seems like a fun little ship and the payout for exploration seems to be big right now, what do you think the outfitting should be? completely ditch the cargo and go full passenger? don't even bring along weapons? Thanks!

You will need some cargo, just to be able to finish the missions with commodity rewards, and/or random purchases, although one usually ignore those.
But just a few tons should do.

I had a T-6 for passengers but when I realised there was better rep to be had for passenger missions, I got a Dolphin.
I'm actually super impressed with it. Good range, handles well and I can stack a few missions with it

I've been playing with it on coriolis and when I realised how cheap it was I've been chomping at the bit to build one, you've answered my question as to it handling well... My next purchase

Pretty similar to what I'm rolling with right now, except I brought along two shock mine launchers in case things go REALLY south, I think once I bring the FSD engineer her meta alloy, and get my hands on a dirty drive I'll be set for a good starter explorer

I'm not bothering with drive tuning but I reckon with a good roll on the fsd it will be high 40's, spent nearly an hour last night getting data mined wake exceptions... Managed 3... Woooo - shocking drop rate
try again tonight then she can have her maiden voyage to deciat!

Dolphin is reported to have a very fine jump range indeed. The Orca should have best range of all passenger ships now, though.

I like it very much. Its small and fast I got 500 boost with dirty drive. 36~ ly with FSD grade 5.
With the dolphin I finally got me a dedicated passenger ship. I haven't really done passenger missions until now.

Dolphins are cute, they make neat noises when you boost, and are pretty fun to watch. But, I am not sure of their porpoise
