I wish there was a faster way to remove names from the list

i wish you could remove them silently without the other party getting a message about it, 'cos that makes me feel a bit guilty so i rarely do it

in my mind's eye it appears like:

"clivewil unfriended you! he hates your guts and hopes you die horribly!
