Thermal load planning

Postby Icharius » Wed Mar 29, 2017 1:26 pm

Hi, I was wondering if there's a way to plan for efficient thermal load of hardpoints out of the game ie: Coriolis o edshipyard.
I have a conda that I have been testing the best setup but the only way I could properly test it is by equipping a layout and then fly out of a station and start shooting to see if it drains fast or not.

Any input would be appreciated
Thanks.

Rule 1: Pillage. Then burn.
Rule 2: No such thing as overkill, as long as there are reloads.

Complements of Vindicator Jones for the Fer De Lance but it is better to take the ship out for a spin to see how your loadout works.

Power level and heat management are completely seperate things.
And often heat is as much influenced by where you are, and what you are being exposed to.

Also, if at all possible.
DO not put the fsd in the off group.
This was fine back when we didn't have a spool up time on modules, but we have had that for a year now.

Having the FSD running means you can start charging immediately when you hit the retract buttons.
Of you rely on power groups to cycle it you end up having to wait an additional 40 seconds or so before being able to start the fsd.
