New Ships in the Beta

Sorry if this is a noobie question, but I was wondering whether any new ships you picked up in the beta followed you to the full game when released?

I'm playing Horizon's (about 2 months) and don't have beta access, but was thinking of upgrading to get the beta because of the excellent feedback you guys (and girls) have been giving. Also I think I have gleaned the fact that the ships in Beta cost about 1/10 of the normal in game price. If this is the case AND you can keep your new ships when the full version is released, this is a great way to expand your fleet.

Hi Daemonhunter, I'm sorry to say that nothing gets carried over from beta into the main game, so whilst beta is a good opportunity to try ships you wouldn't normally, you don't get to keep them.

No the beta is a completeley seperate save from the regular game for simplicity of the testers, they take a save snapshot from the live game, a few days, if not a week or so before the beta start.

Not even the hours logged are counted towards your stats.
And once the beta ends, the beta save is completely deleted.

I suspected as much given that one of the keys attractions of the game is genuinely earning your rank/credits/fleet. Thanks guys for your prompt reply.
