Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

Hello all,

I probably watched 20 hours of twitch streams prior to launch. However I cannot seem to find the type of gameplay I saw.

In my four hours of play, I have found 1 bounty to kill, no war zones, and all of the bulletin mission I get to kill stuff take me out to a lone star with nothing around it (including what I am supposed to kill).

Spending four hours flying around space is pretty dull.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong? I have heard that camping nav becons is a good way to get kills but that seems kind of repetitive.

Warzones are where the action is. There are a few in the Sorbago system atm, tied-in with the Imperial storyline FD is injecting. The conflict is also mentioned in the GalNet Newsfeed ingame. You make money by choosing a side to fight for and cashing the kills in as combat vouchers. The station BB sometimes have missions to destroy ships in the warzones, so there's extra credits to be had, but be careful of your rep. when accepting warzone missions.

Do not forget also;

Nav Beacons
Resource Extraction sites
Anarchy Systems (can shoot everything NPC based)
USS's occasionally
Scanning other vessels in SC to see if they are wanted.

If you look you can find things to shoot

Dunno about war zones, last i was there (B2 or B3) the payout per ship was very low.
USS and nav point are the way to go, make sure you get a kill warrent scanner for Anarchy systems, since all crafts in anarchy are clear untill you scan them with KWS to deterime if they have a bounty.

Once you have a good ship and gear, the 160k assassination missions look like the way to go.

Strickly USS and NAV i can get to ~100k per run. Depends how lucky I am. Last evening bagged 130k in 20 minutes.

The Warzones at Sorbago are fun, especially when another CMDR chooses the Imperial faction. Sorry CMDR ForgotYourName. I couldn't resist.

I would lie if I said I was getting interdicted once an hour ... and that's even in Anarchy systems.
It's almost a rare event by now

I have been doing the USS and NAV becon and still have not gotten a lot.

Do I need to get out of the starter system (EVAGRATE I think)?

I wanted to stay in there until I get some cash built up.

Plus I thought if I hop around too much I may miss something.

Moving around would be good as if you in a starter system the will be a lot of people doing the same as you so less good bounties to go around.

Just keep an eye on the news board for what is going on

I'll give that a try. I guess this means I'll take my free eagle out of the hanger.

How do I buy insurance for a ship? If I am leaving newb town I need to pay the man lol.
