The Guardians - What's Next?

I wonder what the next update will be.

Personally I'd like to see more effort being made toward vastly improving planets. At the moment they are drab, featureless and I really don't get the impression of being on a planet-sized object. The proplem for me is that when I approach a planet the craters and cracks are just far to big when orbiting even high up, so it really dumbs down the impression of being above a planet. The lack of features also hinders the overall impression. That's not to say I am slagging off the work that Frontier have made on the planets; after all the seamless travel on and off the planets is remarkable.

I'd like to see more variety in planets, with seas, life and atmospheres.

I'd also like to be able to walk about on the planet surface.

Plus, I want to be able to land on our own moon. :)

I would like more ways to interact with things and more outcomes when you do. At the moment it is either shoot it or scan it. Once you have done that there is nothing you can really do. I have yet to go to any of these new Alien sites but I imagine that like the original ones there will be nothing to do with them once you have found it and driven around it.

Take base assaults. The only way to do it is all guns blazing. There is no option to sneak in and disable things - even if it means having to buy a different (and more expensive) SRV or get other options where you can reduce the signal of the SRV (maybe one time use and limited time duration). Would give more options.

We know what to expect already.

expansion one was the spacecooks and RNG bonanza. (crap crap crap)
Expansion two, fighters and little things (wee tiny fast things)
Expansion three, character creator, and multi crew. (I'm skeptical, even more so after ships transfers. who wants a ride on my vette only to have to source your ship for 3 million ?)
Four is unknown, possibly the launch of season 3.

That's because they are airless, or that they don't have an atmosphere and winds that wear down the features over the eons. Hopefully, when they introduce the earth like worlds, they won't go overboard with massive mountain ranges and grand canyons on every planet, but a little variety will be a good thing.

As for 2.4, I was wondering if they might introduce an Alliance specific big player warship, and maybe a capital ship too.

I'd like more variety in planets too, though I suppose that, realistically, most planets would be airless chunks of rock and ice. I'd like a more robust power play too, but I don't know how that could be implemented in a sandbox game.

I'm not really interested in walking around outside our on stations, I'm here for the spaaaaaceships! :D
Same goes for character creator.
But FD may surprise and do it different and well so I'll judge when we know more.

I'm interested to see how multi crew is going to work. I see one person flying, one person with a first person turret view or something, but what is everyone else going to do?

I would also like to see the Bubble vastly expanded, or other bubbles out there. At the moment there is so much wasted space. The bubble is a tiny tiny fraction of the explorable gaming area, yet 99% of it is empty of life, signs of life and the such. It just seems a waste to me.

I'd like the world on a plate (medium sized plate) oh, and peace, and happiness, oh and health and not to have to wait till the PKs kick in to put my socks on, and same day delivery, and I'd like to be physically 20 years younger, and I'd really like to be less kin wanting!

Yes, and lots of candy to eat and giant ants made of living crystal to ride on.

Don't want to do FPS things, or walk around the stations so much. However, being able to move around my ships would be cool.

Head to a Bunk when you logout. Login and you are in the bunk.
Head to the galley and sit down and read Galnet while enjoying a coffee.
Head down to the Cargo Bay and be able to check on the cargo canisters.
That little door on the back of my Cobra? I want to be able to stand there, leaning on the railing and look around the station.
While standing there, hearing the station sounds and watching the workers and ships coming and going.
Maybe at most walk around the landing pad/Hangar and enter the building to find some Jobs on the "Missions" board.
Watch Dock Workers refuelling, repairing, and loading/unloading the ship.
Have the Other A-Team members appear in the Lift area of the Hangar and watch them come aboard and take their positions so we can head out in a larger ship.
Run off the bridge and jump into an SRV before it drops onto a planet.
Seeing my NPC Crew salute me as I pass them in the corridors.
Heading past the Ships Plaque with my ships name and Launch Date on it as I head back to the Crew Quarters on board.
Walking on the ship itself as I inspect it before I lift off or assessing the damage before signing off the repair orders.

THIS is what I would love.
I don't want to wander all over the station looking at shops, buildings, and people that live there.

MAYBE walking around on the planets once we get atmospheric landings. Would love to wander around the area of a small Earth Like in Pristine shape.
