Not the best way to outfit single ship.

Getting my arse handed to me by Basilisk third time in a row. More accurately - by it's Swarm, that needs like 3 Flaks to the face to die, and its lightning attacks that destroy 5k raw shield strength in a blink, even if hit me for a few moments... I can wipe the floor with Cyclops, even 2 if I must, barely getting my shield down, but so huge damage spike feels kinda insane.

Go take the python void mining for two hours and you can afford both.

Contemplating switching over from PS4 to PC now im the owner of a new gaming rig and Thrustmaster Hotas. VR is likely to be the gamechanger when i finally get round to it!

I've started a new CMDR on the PC, and as Tor says above, courtesy of void mining I already have a Krait II, Asp X and can afford a Python. Didn't take too long. I'm finding it so much nicer to fly with stick and throttle as opposed to controller, especially for combat.

That said, i'm a bit bummed at the deal for formally swapping the PS4 account over to PC, basically you just get monetary value of your assets, which means doing the long and sometimes painful grinds all over again - Guardians, engineers, powerplay, imperial and federal rep - I'm going to have to think this one through and keep both for now as it will likely be a long time before I find myself in a heavily tanked and engineered 'Vette on the PC!

Gosh now I am sold after researching this, are there any discount locations near our home base of Azrael?
What would you recommend as a good loadout (bounty hunting/bit of trading).

Closest one is APALOK system with -15% discount, though it's 116 Ly away.

Of course your mileage may vary, but using Krait II for trading, or as popular choice for mining, feels like a bit of an offence for this ship's marvelous design. For bounty hunting it's number one choice. With a bit of engineering touch, it is almost as agile as Vulture, while being a lot tougher and having much more firepower. That's my baby:
https://s.orbis.zone/348g (for a bit of a multipurpose, Class 5 Cell can be swapped for Cargo Rack and Class 3 Module Reinforcement for 3A Fuel Scoop).
With that thing, you can dive into High CZ and murder everything in cold blood without breaking a sweat really quickly. Virtually nothing can stand in your way.

Overall, best real multipurpose ship that can do cargo hauling and combat equally well (among many other things) is Python. It's just like mandatory choice. Not a big fan of Python myself, but there's literally nothing even close in terms of multipurpose efficiency. You can outfit Krait II somewhat similarly, but with its specs, and ability to house SLF, it just doesn't feel sensible IMO. When I first got it, I wanted it to be my get-go multipurpose, but seeing how it performs firsthand, I knew better.
