Well after about 3 years, I finally reached my first Elite! Just spent the last 4 days running around the bubble scanning water worlds and unexplored systems. Got stuck at 94% this afternoon, so just had a final push to get the last bits of data.
Just 95% left of trading rank and a rank and a half of killing stuff to go.
Also mined 500 tonnes of ore for Selene, and if I never see another asteroid again it will be too soon! Roid licking is not fun, big or clever it is mind numbing and dull.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you need to get 50 tons of Bromelite to unlock Bill Turner, and that is available by - drumroll - mining in icy rings. It is sometimes also available as mission reward, but mining was faster in my experience...

Just spent a solid hour ferrying passengers around in my newly acquired 2-berth cabin. Baby steps and all that!

Been looking for Arsenic, to convert a few FSDs to the new system.. spotted one nugget in one hour... RNGesus turned its back on me today

I'm playing again and feeling a satisfying sense of progression in my starter Sidey (until some pirates murdered me).
