Tanking can be fun.

Engineering up the FSD and the Thrusters is next on my list of things to do. After that, I'll look at maybe swapping out a few components. The mass of the ship seems comparable with the mass of a few other online builds I've checked out, except that I need to ditch the 8B Sensors. Hell, it's still got lightweight alloy instead of military or at least reinforced.

Beyond that, it is suitable for what I had planned: bouncing around local CNBs and HazRESs to increase my Combat rating, and to try out some stuff that I hadn't done before in the 3 years I've been playing (large ships, fighters, rail guns, turrets, maybe a PA). I think of it as a bit of a science project.

the second mod i always do when making a big ship is lightweight on a D class sensor. these are so massive that losing half their weight really boosts speed and jump range. Life support helps a little too, and really you don't need more than D class on that one too.

I am still one rank to the corvette so i can't talk by experience on that one but it's the most manoeuvrable of the big 3, so i would guess shield tanking would be the way to go to save speed. Shiend AND hull tanking would look counterproductive to me, but hey, worth trying out. It's not as if we had a lot else to do in ED lol

Guys, I uh.... I bought a Dolphin. I'm not really sure how it happened. I was drinking heavily, bounty hunting like usual and next thing I remember I'm waking up in a ship called "Hell's Porpoise." The paperwork is all in order, I own the ship legitimately... drunk me is still well organized, it turns out.
I guess I'm a space-bus driver now.

I just got back from a trip to the galactic core doing some pulsar scans. Dropped by the Pleiades Sector IR-W d1-55 after hearing about the Thargoid attacks and saw it was pretty bad. I'm currently moving to grab a dolphin or any other ship I can to help try to evacuate people off The Oracle. I heard about the Thargoids but didn't think the attacks were as bad as they were.
