About 3.6k ly out from Azrael now and heading vaguely in the direction of the core, finding plenty of undiscovered stuff, but already getting bored. Lost 10% of my hull messing about in an interesting looking deep canyon after forgetting to turn my shields on.
I'm conflicted between moving forward verses staying in a system and looking at/playing on the pretty planets, moving forward feels like progress, but I know I'm missing out on the interesting stuff (and the continuous jump-honk is dull), looking at/landing stuff is more interesting but the time flying between planets is even duller than the jump-honk.
Being the eternal optimist that I am, I'm working on the concept that 2.1 will make missions too interesting to want to set out so this is the ideal time, but hmm maybe I'm just not an explorer at heart.
I got to 10K last time, maybe there is some sort of wall you hit when staying out feels right?
