Woah. Just tried my engineered Lightweight weapons Rattaconda (39.2 ly) and boy, it now eats FASses away like sweet cake. Corrosive Class4 MC, rest pulses with all sensible upgrades (phasing, emissve, scramble).

Trying out some mining for the first time to unlock Selene Jean. Will likely take a couple of weeks as I'm using my Viper MkIV and I'll only be doing it intermittently to chip away at the 500t but have enjoyed the process so far - watching the limpets buzz around is !

I enjoy mining from time to time. It's a nice change of pace from the other things that I regularly do in the game. And... yes, those limpets are pretty cool to watch.

I'm averaging minimum cr2 million per 14ly jump (>cr11M per hour) while adding to trade and Empire rank around HIP 1290 running tourist/prisoner/refugee transport missions with a 144 economy seat Clipper.

Harvey-Smith Platform -> Hamilton Mines -> Harvey-Smith -> Butler Depot and repeat (A-B-A-C, sometimes B+C to A if missions are scarce), all one hop with data xfer jobs on the side. Needs eg 16 units of cargo storage or passenger missions with a cargo reward component won't spawn plus be aware there's a known bug (pre 2.3) that stops them showing on the hand-in board if cargo is full.

Also, if a mission's destination gets changed don't expect the additional bonus pay (known, 2.3 fix due) honestly I only ever sold economy passengers into slavery, never business and certainly not first class ;>

To maximise you do need to work up the faction influence initially, to drop and boost out of interdictions, to abandon missions if a changed destination isn't A, B or C and to properly empty the mission menus by exiting and reentering to force respawn for the ones you've accepted. Low risk, lucrative but boring - however, all of Blake's 7 is on YouTube!

Stacked skimmer kill missions. Made over 53 million in about 4 hours of lazy play time. Its getting boring now, though Buggy driving in weird places is always a challenge. If they fix the Wave Scanner, then I will be QUITE happy.

You may be better off using something like http://etn.io/ to make your own trade routes that would pay better
