Yeah mamba is a bit an odd one.
Goes straight like a suped up imperial eagle.
Turns like a fat conda..
It definitely need heat vent beams.
Mine reached about 60-70% heat levels just from boosting the engine a few times so a large fixed gun with heat vent knocks me back to tolerable levels, still I needed to mind my multi's to not overheat.
(Yes I fire beams to cool down, how nuts is this game)

Top mounted guns is good.
Then again the only thing belly mounted guns are good for is taking screenshots and making "hey Ma! look at my dong!" meme's.
Utterly useless for shooting things.
And yes that includes the fer-de-lance and the anaconda.

Oh, and finally FD had a spot of sense beaten into them and they removed the weird nonsense restriction on the passenger ships.
Finally the Orca can use a class 6 scoop.

Last night I gave the beta another shot.
Figured I could at least go find some unknown systems and test the new scanning feature before I started slagging it on the forums.

Didn't quite go as planned cause once I was out of known space this feature seemed to make a lot more sense, and it was almost fun scanning a system, at least compared to before where it made me want to stab myself in the balls to alleviate the boredom.

And no more having to SC to 2 seconds to an icy moon to get a scan if you get comfortable with the tuning.
Have I mentioned I quite enjoy my $400 throttle from virpil?

With its three lever axes and three rotaries.
One as a wheel on the throttle and two as dials on the bottom.

Only problem is elite doesn't recognise more than 32 buttons.
This thing has 81....
By default, you can add more buttons to the five modes..

Almost makes the warthog throttle look like a clunky POS.
I an now using it as a landing gear lever...

I installed ED again. But have not loaded it up, nor setup the Beta. I still have my Binding file but think it will get FUBAR'd if I launch it. May get back into it soon. Maybe.

If Kharma gets on Discord then the chances are even Higher that I will come back and try it.

Yeah. Looks good but don’t know what to do with the Mamba. I dislike the FDL and thought it could be my medium combat ship.
Not even interested in the Phantom. My Kriat MKII is my assasination ship.

Bugs all over the place in Beta. Ship name does not change when you go from one to another till you jump. My Python still has the “Module cannot be deployed in this mode” warning, even though the Mamba does not. Scanned a CZ and the information in the info panel does not disappear even after I jump to another system.

It appears I am joining Mobius during a healthy flow of recruits (that maybe the case normally ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ) There is an event going on in Azrael where people are so maybe all us rookies/newcomers/rust buckets need to rally there (or somewhere) and get organised. Get times figured out and/or maybe schedule some wing groupings? Not sure how Mobius flows internally. I can't lead anything just yet since I am so out of practice (and a new face among many) so if someone above could guide us? Do we have a chain of command or a process for people coming into Mobius (besides registering) Much appreciated, catch you in the black! O7

I've been off in Ross 129 shooting up some Thargoid Scouts.

I took a side mission over to the Acropolis megaship in Ulchs to get a few missions before heading back to Ross 129. The ship is just outside the ring plane of a gas giant, and has some nice views.
