Greetings Commander SCIGHOST -o7-

A welcome return to the Mobius Sector !

Since you have been in the void for some time, I should inform you of the "FSD V1" module that you can get from the Human Technology Broker -

This module is a Class 5A "Doubled Engineered" Frame Ship Drive with the ability for you to add an Engineered Effect e.g. "Mass Manager" onto it increasing its Optimal Mass Multiplier of 1862 ( as opposed to 1682 ) and furthering your Jump Distance considerably.

You trade Materials for the item and not credits, while Elite calls it an "Unlock" it is infact a "trade for", as you keep having to trade materials for it - each time..

FSD V1 Material Cost
    26x Tellurium
    26x Electrochemical Arrays
    28x Chemical Processors
    18x Datamined Wake Exceptions

So how much better is the FSD V1?

So with an identical Basic specification of Asp Explorer, no other Engineering but has a 5H Guardian FSD Booster

Engineered with Felicity Farseer
[**] It should be noted that you only need Felicity to Access Level 1 to install the Mass Manager Effect.

Engineered for Deep Space -

Of course there are better Deep Exploration builds - these posted here are to highlight the difference between the two modules - which is about 9.5% better, reboots substantially faster afetr a power cycle and only needs Access to Grade 1 Felecity to add "Mass Manger" effect.

It also saves you about $5,000,000 space credits as you don't use cash to buy it, just materials.

I do hope that lot helps, and again, welcome back from the black commander -o7-

Arrived Robigo on the April 13 did passenger missions in my mostly "A" rated, Engineered Python. FSD Booster and shields albeit weaker than my whisky. Approximately 82.8 million credits per hour at 4.25 hours a day including scanning the whales at the beacon, plotting the return route at Sothis Star, searching the boarding for 4+ million contracts, quick chats, a good result. After a little dirt side work for the SRV heading back to spend it.

Hey Zetr0

Almost got all the requirements for the double engineered fsd.

Do you know of planet or area that is a good farming spot of Tellurium?
I tried prospecting a few places but coming not right.

Also does the fsd only come in a max size of a class 5?
I have an anaconda with a 6A fully engineered will it be that much better?

Greetings Commander SCIGHOST -o7-

In fact I do, and I believe that you might too, Jamersons Crash Site in HIP 12099 on Body 1 B is a RICH Telerium Planet and has about 10 Geological sites abundant in Telerium

I made a Quick Guide to give the best low-down on how to get the FSD V1 quickly

Truly hope that helps Commander -o7-

Awesome thanks.
Quick question. Is there an easy way to reboard the srv onto the ship. I am literally right under the hatch but it won't let my board it again. Do you have to align a certain way or something?

Additional question that I'm slightly confused on.

You mentioned a 5a fsd with double engineering.
Though I fly an anaconda.

Would it make sense to fit the double engineered fsd in my anaconda?

Any Class 5A FSD will not be useful to yor Anaconda since the Jump Range is a Multiplyer of Values based on Mass of the vessel. While the FSD can work in an Anaconda, a D rated Class 6 would be better.

The better use would be installed in the following Vessels ( with only only the FSD V1 *with Mass Manager* + 4H or 5H Guardian FSD Booster, no other Engineering)

73.54 Light YearsDBX
68.99 Light YearsASP-X

or better yet the amazing -

67.54 Light YearsKrait Phantom

IMHO the Phantom is better as it has more options as you Engineer it, as such it makes up for the loss in the Jump Range compared to both the DBX and ASPX craft - as its one that as you invest more engineering in, will be better than either of the DBX / ASPX when they are fully Engineered.

To be fair when fully kitted and Engineered for Jump Distance these vessels are quite comparable, only the Optional Internal Modules really differenciate the machines.
