A CNB like Aerial is better for the kill grinding, as you will get more small Elite-ranked ships that you can kill faster. The downside is that the money is not as good.

I'll have to do it tomorrow, wish me luck; I shall be praying to RNGesus before bed...

I'm I the only schmuck that goes for Clean Drives?

I also go for Efficient Weapons and don't have heat problems in my Anaconda.

In fact, I usually at 50% heat, and it takes a lot of screw-up for me to heat up during fuel scooping, even at max scooping (takes over a minute to reach 100%).

The only negative heat attribute I think I have are my Overcharged Power Plants.

Depends of course what you are going for.

But I have found that although the multiplier increase with g3 drives are fairly close to G5, G3 has higher drawbacks than G5.
So I have now both G5 overcharged power plant and g5 dirty on my Vulture now, and it's doing much better heat wise than with g3 dirty.
And it does 512ms.
Currently experimenting with a efficient beam and a rapid fire multi cannon.

Oh, I don't think I've ever tried a CNB out, thanks for the tip. I'll check it out as I am pretty good on cash at this point. Cheers o7

Yup, Comet is exactly right. For your current focus of gaining combat rank, going to a CNB and seeking out Deadly and Elite NPC's to kill is your best bet. It doesn't matter if it's a sidewinder or conda, Elite is Elite and the rank it counts the same toward your rank progression. Try to get a wingman as well, since faster kills obviously get you faster rank progression. I recently helped a friend that was about the same place you are in combat rank. With both of us in A-rated, fully G5 engineered Vettes with Elite ranked SLF's, he was getting about 1-1.5% per hour of rank progression. It's a grind to get to Elite, as you are aware.

I'll be around this weekend if you want a wingman. Just send me an in-game friend request and we'll see if our paths cross.

Spent the last couple days stocking up on thargoid mats and data for the upcoming weapons and armor. At least I hope I am. :)

Awhile back someone mentioned not to do missions into Mobius from uncontrolled Systems does that still apply? Recently arrived Apathaam looking for missions for the Cutter or Orca.

We don't even know if they will require materials even. NO ONE at frontier has said so.
So why are people going nuts for it ?

Doing missions for any factions other than OoM in one of our systems hurts our influence. The total system influence is split up between all of the factions in the system. If you add influence to faction X by doing missions, the BGS has to take influence away from all of the other factions so that they all add up to 100%.

Clear as mud?

Yes clear as swamp water, thanks Commander. I will not pop into any other system to top up on my way back from a mission. Going to haul passengers in the Orca (she is a sweet ship) so heavy both ways. Then switch to the Cutter doing Exioce/Azrael stuff.

Glad to help. By the way, we are focusing on increasing our influence in Exoice right now. If you could run missions out of MacMillan station there, it would be greatly appreciated. :)
