Right! Now he looks like he's trying to justify it by pretending to role play a bad guy. Bahahahaha. What a jerk. I'm at CEOS now and i can't see any difference at all...

I don't know how old the post is but he'd need to sell probably 200+ UAs in order to maybe achieve his goal.

You don't need to do anything apart from carry on ignoring him. He's in Open and one of the reasons you're in Mobius.

Except that if successful and if ED doesn't step in, it would mean he shuts down a portion of the game as the stations would no longer be active.

The things you can do to counteract it is to bounty hunt to prevent/remove lockdown and deliver Meta Alloys to counteract the UAs. That's about it, but I suspect they will either a) not be particularly successful or b) FD will god mod it.

That all said, I will admit that the OP in that thread does kind of have a point about the smuggling missions that give 7 million credits for no effort. I think the long distance ones are balanced well, but those smuggling missions are just stupidly OP compared to literally anything else in the game. I don't think his solution is the right one, nor his reasoning, but there is some validity to the claim that Ceos/Sothis is kind of broken in that those smuggling missions are completely out of balance. Nothing else can make you even remotely close to 21 million credits in 5 minutes and that really does cheapen the hard work people have put in. Comparatively, the long range trading missions work out to about 20 to 30 million an hour, which isn't that out of line with any other high volume or long distance trading.

Ceos and Sothis are known well enough that if he his successful in his mission, it would last for a day maybe even hours. We know what the UA's do at this point and we know how to resolve the issues they bring.
As far as it being OP I mean I guess but maybe these things are in there for players to make money "quickly". The effort might not seem like much but it requires a lot of time jumping to and from 350-450 ly away. If that's what people want to do then who cares. It's there, so if you want to mindlessly look at a mission board and deliver crap, so be it.

Question: What are UA's and what's UA bombing?

Unknown Artifacts

It was discovered that UA's, when sold to stations, in enough quantity, would start to shut down stations or at least services offered at the stations. The remedy is/was to sell meta-alloys to these stations to repair them.

This guy is an actual terrorist. Read his comments. He wants to force you to modify your behaviour to fit his views of how to play elite.

I mean, every fucking thing he says is something some crazy terrorist has said in the past 100 years. Don't apply logic to terrorism.. it won't work. Besides, he's a bit of a giant hypocritical douche anyway. He pays for premium on World of Tanks, but complains about people in gold ships playing Elite in ways other than what he agrees with.

Terrorist. Pure and simple.
