Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

Hi, PvP is only permitted in any of the Mobius groups in Conflict Zones so no, its not allowed. to avoid a breach of our naming and shaming policy i've removed the offenders name from your post but it has been preserved in our staff forums for investigation, can you tell me what group you were playing in at the time, Mobius or Mobius PvE? and did you catch a screenshot or video of the incident?

Sadly, no screenshot - I was too irritated to think about it, sorry. It was Mobius.

Sorry to hear that your ship was destroyed while playing in Mobius group. As Andy said, the commander's name has been saved in the staff forum to be further evaluated.

Rest assured that being attacked in a Mobius group is a rare event and is dealt with swiftly.

For the rest of us - how should we make sure who it is we are shooting at? Ships can look the same...

* Are players identified as "CMDR Calebring" or some such?
* Do I need to retrain myself and check the scanner before shooting in the heat of combat (I've heard real people players show as an open square on the scanner)
* ...some other method?
* (edited later to add) groups (such as Mobius) show up on the scan on the lower left hand side... yes?

If you see a hallow square (or hallow triangle) on your radar it's a CMDR.

If you scan them you will always see CMDR in front of their name.

Morgan is correct, but don't rely on the hollow square. It's been buggy for a while. A human player will have CMDR in front of his name. That's the most reliable way to confirm.

Anytime we are having fun in a CG, it's a good time to heighten your awareness of your surroundings. It's easy to just start firing at ships in your proximity at a combat CG and you could accidentally fire upon a commander. If the RES is busy with several commanders that aren't winged, I suggest winging (more fun anyway!) or leaving the instance and playing in solo or a different private group.

On Saturday, The Dead Meat and I were in the RES for the CG, winged up and having fun. Three commanders dropped in, and we chose to switch to my private group to avoid kill stealing or any friendly fire incidents. Easy peasy.

Thanks - it's not the end of the world, but it was only just after I'd bought and equipped my first Anaconda, so funds were lower!

Just a few minutes ago my Python was destroyed in Mobius by a Commander. I had just entered Segovan System for the actual CG. I made a screenshot from the message who destroyed my ship and reported it to Mobius via contact email. Please pay attention because he claimed being from the 13th Legion and they would destroy all ships helping the federation.
