Looking for Mining Ship

I like small ships, like Cobra mk IV.
Cheap insurance, and if things go south I'm not losing 400 tons of stuff. Also less chance of getting bored as I need to go to a station more often.
But then again someone could also dislike it for the small cargo. For me it's a good little ship.

I agree, that or like Tor's T6 and etc. I just want something cheap for mission mining - not to make a living or a huge profit. I did all my mining in an Adder back in the day - and haven't mined since. But now I need to to get materials, and the Vulture ain't gonna cut it. I'll get something cheap and probably even scoop the fragments manually.

Well I fitted out the type 6, for use for my courier and trading missions. And it doubles for doing mining when I want.

Which leads me to this question -
How do you find a good spot to mine? I found myself moving across multiple belts, and between multiple rocks. Just to fill half my cargo hold. And as people know. The type 6, does not have that big of a cargo hold.

For pristine metallic rings I've used http://edtools.ddns.net/
Seems to be updated still but it has no ice rings, only metallics.
I'm sure there are many other tools around too.

Even though edtools doesn't list ice rings the pristine rating is system wide.
So most likely out of the top three results you will find a pristine ice ring.

Thanks for the link.
I tried looking for something like that using Google but guess my googling power is just not good enough.
My current method of looking for mineable rings is to open up the galaxy map and look at the systems closest to where I am. Look for ringed planets. If there is a ringed planet, mouse over it to see what those rings are and what kind of reserves.
Decided that I should just mod my Trade Cutter into a miner instead of spending credits and time (mainly time) buying and outfitting a dedicated miner.
