Robigo Missions

Are the Robigo Shadow Delivery missions still a thing after the engineers update? I haven't played in a little while and was having the itch for some smuggling. I had heard that in the beta there were no shadow delivery missions so I'm curious.

Robigo is dead. It has had enough Unknown Artifacts delivered to it that most station services are shutdown, including the mission board. However, there are other locations to try. Ceos/Sothis is popular, and both allow for the use of large ships. Takurua, Maia, Fehu, Quince are some others.

Best way to find locations to try (other than popular stations):
1) go to https://eddb.io/station
2) Enter reference system as Sol
3) Hit Find Stations
4) Click on the "Distance Ly" column so sort the column so that its showing the furthest stations from Sol first.
5) Pick one, fly there, get missions.
Bonus step: Collect discovery scan data on the way, hand in at station when you get there for a rep boost with the controlling faction (even better if there is a station/outpost owned by the pirate faction if you want smuggle missions).
Bonus step 2: Ceos/Sothis both have data delivery missions from one to the other. This allows you to easily build rep with the local factions to get the better missions. Some of the other locations have similar missions to neighbouring systems.

Though Shadow Delivery (fail on scan) are gone as far as I'm aware. There are still 'do not get scanned' missions available, but they do not fail on scan anymore, but you will lose a small chunk of the payout if scanned (not a lot though). These missions are usually for large quantities of cargo as well. There are also 'Boom state' delivery missions available as well now, which pay very well for delivering legal cargo a long distance.

As all cargo quantities are much larger now, you may find the Cobra or Asp insufficient for profit per run now, unless you plan on spending a long time flipping the mission board to find the smaller cargo missions. I switched to a Python for a while (though jump range on Python is average at best) till I had enough extra cash to kit out a trading Anaconda.. I don't flip the mission boards for the Conda as it has plenty of hold space and can accept all the big cargo missions that are readily available.

I might have to check this out. What super powers are these systems affiliated with?

Ceos/Sothis are Federation I believe (haven't used them myself so not sure)
Fehu, Quince are Empire
Takurua, Maia are independent

Beware though, System states can affect the availability of missions. i.e. if a system goes into civil war, the factions involved in the war will only hand out combat missions.
This is why I prefer to use a lesser-known systems, as not as many commanders are running the missions from there, so factions do not change state as often.

Man, I loved those smuggling missions. I guess I'll have to check out the other systems. Thanks for the info :)

Mainani/Ngalinn are worth a look too (both Empire). I have been running Data Delivery missions the last day or so to raise my Empire rank. Starting to see a lot of high paying delivery and Snake In missions popping up now.

That sounds good. Making money and raising rank. I think I'm only a Squire in the Empire so that'll be good.
