Distant Worlds Chaser Group

Hello, fellow Mobians! My name is Commander Aizria, co-founder of the Spectral Horizons (tentative name) exploration group, and I'm posting here today with an invitation for you! :)

Spectral Horizons has decided to chase the Distant Worlds expedition, and we're inviting any and all interested Mobians to join our little expedition! We are based in Mobius PvE, so I will mainly be setting times that work for NA (as I'm mostly unfamiliar with EU times and what works for you EU folks relative to NA times), but EU players are welcome to join us as well, and I would actually welcome assistance in planning EU meeting times as well. All that said, as I know we all have varying schedules and my own work schedule doesn't mesh well with that of many people, this will be pretty informal and anyone is free to come and go to and from waypoints as you see fit. We will be following the official Distant Worlds itinerary for waypoints and base camps in order to ease planning.

While our initial goal is to hopefully be able to meet the Distant Worlds fleet at Beagle Point, I realize that at this point this is an extremely challenging goal, and is actually nigh-impossible for all but the most experienced and able explorers with 32+ Ly jump range ships, let alone for a group that is attempting to coordinate to some degree. With that being the case, everyone is free, of course, to travel at their own pace and, if we fail to reach Beagle Point alongside the DW main fleet, we will slow our pace and simply follow in the DW expedition's footsteps, so to speak.

Myself and my fellow Spectral Horizons commanders will be departing from DW waypoint 0 in the Pallaeni system tonight, Wednesday March 16th, at roughly 8:50 PM EST (Thursday, March 17th at 12:50 AM UTC) but anyone joining us is free to depart from wherever and whenever over the next day or so. The current plan is to be at DW waypoint 2 in the NGC 6530 WFI 16706 system within the Lagoon Nebula by Friday, March 18th, at approximately 6:30 PM EST (10:30 PM UTC). Again, I am aware that this is ambitious for a loosely-coordinated group, but we do have a lot of ground to cover and only about two weeks in which to do so, so all of this will be a bit of a moving target. This is, as I have mentioned, a little spur-of-the-moment and very informal, so I'm admittedly "flying by the seat of my pants" here as far as planning goes. XD

I'm fully aware that this is very short-notice as this was pretty unplanned, but I felt that it might be fun to extend the invitation just in case anyone else might want to attempt to catch up with DW or follow in their wake. ^.^ If anyone is at all interested, please respond here and add me in-game so that we can get in contact. If there is enough added interest outside of our small group, I plan to set up a Discord server for fleet comms and info sharing. Further, if there is enough interest from both NA and EU parties, I will look into getting everyone invited to my own private group in the interest of people from both groups being able to meet up. :3

On a final note, if anyone is a particularly avid explorer and is interested in hanging out and talking with a group of like-minded individuals, please speak with me in-game or via PM here and I will be more than happy to invite you to Spectral Horizon's Discord server and put you in touch with my fellow members! :D (In the interest of transparency, there are currently only five of us, myself included..)

Thanks for reading, and I hope to see you all out in the black!

Fly safe! o7

Ambitious!

There are quite a few Mobius pilots in the fleet already, but you can also ask for access to the second official group (Erimus) as you get close. DW also has a Discord server which would help you get together with others in that group at the waypoints.

The main fleet is nearly at the Roncevaux Crossing, but there is a slower moving fleet behind who are near Waypoint 16 just past Sagittarius A*.

Fly safe CMDR o7

If you are indeed interested, we would certainly be more than happy to have you along! ^.^ If you haven't already (I don't know, as i haven't had a moment to check, due to the fact that I'm sitting at work atm, lol.), feel free to shoot me a friend invite in-game and we'll see if we can get you out to us. :) We've currently taken a small pause around Distant Worlds waypoint 3 in the Omega Nebula, about 5.4k Ly out, for one of us to head back for some quick repairs, so you could probably make it out before we move on if you do ye olde jump-honk-scoop-rinse-repeat speed travel routine on the way out. :3

Addendum: A couple of my companions, CMDR Nexiat and CMDR Khinara have also said that they would be willing to answer any questions that you may have as well as get you acclimated if you come online while I'm still at work, so feel free to shoot them both a friend request as well! ^.^
