Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

noob question,

I see we where/are at war.
when this happens how does a person help out
is this part of Power Play what ever that is?

you help out by going to the system where the war is, dropping from SC into a combat zone and selecting 'The Order of Mobius' as your faction. (right panel, last tab)

then its just a matter of killing as many enemy ships as you can and handing in the combat bonds to get paid.

And it's better to be in a wing, Conflict Zones can be rather nasty.

It is not part of powerplay, this involves minor factions not the powerplay powers.

I am fairly good against lower NPC's so I will go try it out,
if solo I will try this, shoot one NPC on the outer edge and get him to chase me farther out before I turn to fight, could work (like Aces High I played years ago)

That does indeed work. Once inside the instance, fly to 5-7 km away from the center before declaring your allegiance. I usually go looking for a large ship on your side, like an Anaconda and act like I'm its wingman. Shoot at what the Anaconda is shooting and protect it's back from other enemies.

I am flying a viper III now but may go back to the cobra III, but the viper is so dang fast and sounds so cool to boot that it is hard to give up, or better yet make enough (or quit biting off more than I can chew) then buy both

Viper Mk III is a very nice ship, it was my first combat focused hull and I would highly recommend it over the cobra mk III or even cobra mk IV for combat zones. I used a build something like this.

I think I will work on the Viper till I get it A rated, 90% B now and last night still working on my new HOTAS binds (and remembering the keys) I was interdicted wing of 2 cobra's, I didn't run but killed them with my shield lost and no hull damage, took the first one out fast and played with the second one almost to long! Looking forward to learning this HOTAS

was that a glitch, I have never been interdicted by a wing ??????
