Do barnacles have active times?

I've been trying to do some research at the barnacle on Merope 5C for the past couple of days, but 90% of the time (more like 95% actually) I don't see the barnacles at all.

I've tried logging in and out repeatedly, shifting between open/group/solo, leaving the planet and returning, etc.

Yet they disappear and stay gone for hours at a time. Do they retreat into the ground or am I just having a problem triggering the spawn?

It's a know bug, I'm sure I read that there is a patch next week that addresses it, but I can't find the info now.

A ninja strikes.

The fixed ones on Merope 5C should be there all the time.

Currently a known bug that some POI do not spawn reliably, said to be fixed in the update coming sometime this week.

When this happens the only option is to quit the game completely, including the launcher and try again. Just switching game modes does not fix it and increases the chances of them not appearing at all until full logout.

I think they're on their tea break. Now galactic regulations mean that mandatory tea breaks must be provided for barnacles working at the edge of the bubble. But its not working as intended and its being exploited. Hence the recent proliferation of tea factories.

Which also explains all those cannisters of tea thousands of lys from the bubble on planet surfaces!

When the Thargoids finally arrive, tea will be the only countermeasure we have, after all tea won the war (regardless of what the Americans think ;) )

The tea will need to be combined with songs with "Whoops" in the title and a stiff upper lip.

The tea is to stir up the us Brit CMDR's. You can't fight a Thargy without a decent brew inside you. They can bomb our Orbitals but damn them if they so much as touch our tea. Its enough to get a fellows dander up.

A man never goes into space without a clean botty. My old nan told me that and how right she was.
