Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

I was wondering whether it would be possible to create a script that takes the list of current Mobius group members and cycles through the list asking each to be a friend. I know not how to do so as I've never created a script in my life, but before I look into the possibility it occurred to me that there's likely to be someone who knows whether its possible or not on here. If it is it would be a great thing. I often look at the galaxy map and like seeing where all you lot are. I followed severals journey to Sag A and back from the privacy of my own screen.

I have been wondering about that too. I have currently added about 1/5 I think so far.

I would be concerned about the network falling over while checking if my 18k+ friends were online.

EDIT: Maybe it would be better for all to be on something like TS or Slack?

Its absolutely possible from a technical standpoint.

But it would mean FD makes frontend that you can authenticate against and upload a list names.

Heck it doesn't have to be more complicated as pasting a text list into the launcher or in game.

I did something similar with my eve group where people register email and phone number (yes eve gets that crazy) with our site I then had a link where we could download a csv list that would load contacts into to your smart phone, well it kinda worked on android phones and that's was just barely. Cause I'm really not a coder.

We used this for what we dubbed the "bat signal" if we got invaded or found a great fight we send off a group text and more often than not we would get another 20 or so members online.
You just had to pay for sending 50 texts...

This was eventually replaced by a facebook group which is much simpler.
