Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

Elite anything? Pffft - they never give me any problems.

I have the most trouble with Master Anacondas. Not every one, but it seems that the majority of them have been the toughest ships to kill, and causing me the most grief, for months and months. With turreted lasers and multi cannons, they seem to be able to fire continuously. They also have strong shields, SCBs, and can maneuver just as well as me, whether I'm in a Python, Anaconda, or back in the Vulture.

A close second, since 1.5, would be the Federal Assault Ship (not sure if rank matters). With me in a Python, they could always seem bring their guns to bear on me and keep their nose pointed at me so. In the few times I went into a Res, they'd chase me out with no shields. I haven't flown the Anaconda since 1.5, but the Vulture was a little more maneuverable against the FAS than the Python so they were less of a problem.

I'd say Federal Gun Ships, I just never seem to be able to stay behind them, for what's supposed to be a low manoeuvrability ship they seem to be able to turn on a sixpence.

The easiest at the moment seem to be Pythons.

For me.. the Clipper..doesn't matter what I do, I always end face to face.. good thing my FDL has good shields....

And there is the Federal Dropship, same as the clipper but less frequent.

Yes, it seems that these supposedly heavy, slow ships have 19A thrusters installed. Once in a while, an Anaconda seems to exhibit this behaviour as well. While I can stay on the tail of Vultures and Eagles reasonably well, Clippers and the Federal ships seem to be able to stay in place and face me whatever I'm doing. It's a bit like those early first person shooters with sprites that were always facing you.

While not really dangerous, I find Imperial Couriers really annoying. They have the maneuverability to quickly get out of my field of fire, and the speed to get out of range while I'm reacquiring the lock-on.

Pretty much any viper MkIII and MkIV in conflict zones, they take for freaking ages to get down and chaff like it's my wedding day.

Ay, the MKIVs are tough little buggers

For me, ironically, it's NPC Station Security. If I'm in my Anaconda, they keep scanning me and then subsequently ramming me, resulting in a fine.

Everything else, is no problem!

I do my fighting, so far, in a vulture and its the high-skilled Imperial Clippers that give me the most grief. Pythons, Anacondas, Assault/Drop ships I can stay behind and underneath easily enough. The clippers are nimble enough to get a bead on me fairly often though, plus they usually mount turrets on the wings and it's hard to stay out of their fire acr.

When I was in my Viper Mk IV it was the Vulture that always did me in. Now I am in a Vulture and they are toast My new nemesis ship is the Federation Assault ship and of course the Anaconda although I can stay in behind the Anaconda allot easier than the FAS.

Although from watching the NPC ships I notice they have some quirks that don't seem to follow with the same ship for a player aka they seem to have built in cheats or the exact opposite in the worst AI I've ever seen. One cheat <?> is their armor tank. I was in a sidewinder a few days back using it a s shuttle to move ships to a different station and I was interdicted by a Vulture that ripped through me like a knife through butter and I blew up in less than 5 seconds. Ok so now fast forward to today, I am on an assassination mission and I have my target in a Corvette and he has two sidewinders as escort. I got the SW in my sights and not once was he not being hit by my large pulse lasers and it took a full caps worth of power to kill it. Same with the 2nd SW. Now the dumb AI part. All the while I am killing the escorts, the corvette is swooping around back and forth watching me and when I finally got my guns on it, it folded up like a cardboard box!

Actually, I was a little stunned to be having troubles with fed dropships tonight. With their beam turrets and new tendency to fly sideways and backwards, I was taking almost constant hits in my clipper whenever I fought one.
