Back in a sidewinder

Postby Gorf » Mon Dec 28, 2015 11:49 am

I've parked the T9 as there were a few missions to outposts that I couldn't do (I'm trying to rank up in empire).

It's easy to forget how much fun the sidewinder can be. Most players will not A rate it, because by the time they have the money, they've already replaced it with a bigger ship...

I also A-rated mine.

I had it till I could buy and outfit a 'Conda which is my main ship now.

I also bought an Asp which I bought after the Conda which is pretty cool too.

I A-rated mine too. Went Sidey -> Cobra -> Asp.

Love the sidey. An A rated can take on a few things at res sites no problem.

Hoping to A rate a couple to stash in the conda sometime in the future!

That thread title is kind of scary. I thought maybe you got caught flying w/o insurance.
Or maybe you cleared your save to start over again.

Anyway, I A-rate my Sidey taxis if I can.
WTF, it don't cost nuthin. It's fun to fly them once in a while. ;)

And FD, please give me a ship moving service!
It's time to give this another go.

My Sidewinder is all C & D grade but I recently upgraded my FSD drive to get to 10+ ly jump range capability. I"m seriously considering A rating some components to see how far she can go. The canopy view is fantastic and the Sidie is much tougher than the Eagle. Only the lack of a 3rd small hardpoint keeps it from being competitive with the other ships in its class.

Personally I jumped to a Hauler as soon as I could just because it has larger cargo capacity. Didn't even try to use the weapons until I got my Cobra Mk III after it.
