Viper loadout

For those that have souped up their Vipers for bounty hunting/pirating/ general naughty behaviour, what are your recommended upgrades? If you could details weapons, shield, etc and also what sort of cost is associated with this.
I have about 400,000CR to start with. What should be the first purchase? Second after (hopefully) gaining some money. And so on.
Cheers.

I popped into a Viper and found the jump range ludicrous. Moved straight back to my trusted Hauler.
So I'd upgrade the FSD first.

And the powerplant I suppose.

Yes ... ^^^ that ^^^
The better the power plant, the better kit you can have without switching other modules off.
You'll need decent weapons - but what you use depends on how you like to kill.
Ive ditched my Basic scanner too ... swapped it for an interdictor thing.
Chaff and ECM will come in handy too.

Here's my current loadout:
1 multi-cannon gimballed F2
2 multi-cannon gimballed F2
3 burst laser G1
4 burst laser G1
5 kill warrant scanner C0
6 not equipped
7 reinforced alloys I1
8 power plant B3 (1100MW)
9 thrusters C3
10 frame shift drive B3 (~10LY)
11 life support E2 (5 mn)
12 power distributor A3
13 sensors D3 (5km)
14 fuel tank C2 (4T)
15 cargo rack E2 (4T)
16 shield generator D3
17 auto field-maintenance unit C2
18 shield cell bank B1
I didn't write down the prices, but replacing it all with the insurance costs around 60K cr, IIRC.
I'd suggest upgrading the power plant, distributor and weapons first. The FSD is not that urgent, IMO, as bounty hunting tends to be done in a single system or two. The kill warrant is a good thing to have, as it increases your profits. And I'd recommend upgrading the shield generator and getting the shield cell bank and the auto field-maintenance unit if you plan to attack strong ships.

Excellent, exactly what I was looking for. Keep the recommendations coming though, always good to hear what others think.
EDIT : Well got a few of those things, but need to find a power plant and FSD (6LY is terrible).

Wolf 417, loads of stuff. Used my hauler to get there, kitted it out and I had enough for a Viper and started kitting it out as well.
Need some more money before testing myself in combat.

The Viper is brilliant but very expensive to upgrade. I see it as the final step in my gameplan once I've got a pile of cash behind me. As people have said already Drive and powerplant are key but also the power distribution is pretty important in my opinion.
