Should I be concerned?

I've been outside of civil space since July. I am reading how much tougher the ai is and interdictions being more of a pain. Should I worry?
I am unarmed with LOTS of data to sell. Should I find a station really close to the parent star? I believe Skadjero's Korniyenko Dock is about 350 ls from the star.

Are you unshielded?
That would be the main reason I would be really really concerned. IF you support a PP power or carrying cargo maybe but if you just have Exploration data, while I wouldn't be overly concerned I would be wary and hitting the closest Station is always a good idea

Never had a problem reaching my home system, I use the gal map to line up with the shortest route home, make sure you have a full tank of gas before you hit the first outpost system then run. Turn away from the star immediately and start charging your FSD as soon as you have cool down, you have 20 seconds to line up for your next jump and repeat. Before your final jump you can select your destination station from the galmap - system map while your fsd is charging so no hanging around at your local star just turn away and cruise home. If your really worried plan to stop at a station close to a main star and pick up some chaff but I prefer not to stop for anything.

Wow, since July! That's a long time. I am flying in the uncharted void just since 3 weeks (mostly just on weekends though) and I feel already out of touch with CG's and what not. Good luck with your data, Commander Jaimes!

If you're prepared to sell that data at our home station (Rafferty's Mobius in Azrael) there are a couple of us who are willing to run an escort wing from just outside the bubble - with fully-pimped Python & Anaconda, you'll have NO wucking furries

I tend to find the risks of interdiction exaggerated, you can see if other ships are in the system and if they are and they appear to be lining up on you, just jump to the next. I left the bubble during 1.4 without a single interdiction and I'm fairly sure I'll get back safe, too. The biggest worry is making the run to a station, but even then there's things you can do to make it easier..

And interdictions are back to being easy after the latest patch, and if you aren't pledged to a power play faction you will hardly get interdicted at all.
I dropped out of PP last week and since then I have been interdicted twice.
Now back when I was trading and in PP I would sometimes get interdicted 4 times on a 350ls trek to station..
And when it bugged out as in beetween 1.4 and 1.401 (not everyone got hit with the bug, i sure did) interdiction's where impossible to evade, if I stay dead center i would see the red bar increase, submitting was freaking bugged, and only worked 2 out of 5 interdiction's.

Hi LionOfNarnia - Could the 'Hidden Content (for members only)' be clarified? I'm sure many members of the Mobius group will find this confusing.

It's also potentially confusing as it
is part of the signature.
