Updates and logs on last night, optimistically swaps a cargo bay for an interdictor, looks at the BB and there's a mission for pirates! 136k credits, launches on my hunt... Lands in Cardea,

Asp zips past me, scans him, "wanted" gets in behind, interdictor fires... Success! Puts him out of his misery... Back to SC.... This time I get interdicted - submits... Another Asp... Swiftly dealt with and back into SC....

Wing of a viper and an Asp... Night of the Asp... Little more of a challenge to pull off the interdiction this time - but it worked.. Killed em, back into SC

Picked on a federal assault ship this time, another interdiction success...little tired now tho, I chose to flee as I couldn't get his hull down very quick and his shields kept recharging

Anyway lol - 6 kills later 120k in bounties and the mission payout.... Interdicts are back on!! talk about getting straight to the point

Glad to hear that they fixed interdictions! I may have to do some undermining this weekend.

I still couldn't get away from a Viper in my Fer-de-Lance and its' A2 interdictor, but I still can catch anything I want, even before the 1.4.0.1 update.

Before 1.4 I could catch everything and get away.
During 1.4 I could catch anything and never get away.
With 1.4.0.1. I can catch anyhing and never get away.

Ps. playing with mouse&keyboard.

I'm still having a lot of trouble performing successful interdictions. I have an A4 interdictor on my Python and am only able to pull about 30-40% of the transport ships (for PP undermining) out of SC that I target. The repair costs for failed interdiction attempts are killing me, at about $200k each time.

Before 1.4 I could interdict with no trouble at all.... rarely every failed. Now I 'm questioning if I'll be undermining with the current conditions since it's too frustrating, taking too long to get a successful interdiction, and the repair costs are through the roof.

Maybe there is a new technique that I need to use..... any tips?

<<update>>

I found some info on the main forum, and one guy shared a tip that has helped me a lot today. :)

My exact tactic i would describe as follows:

-Lining up for interdiction
-Don't fire FSI just when it lightens up, always get a bit 'nearer' in SC first, and always straight angle to target
-Fast throttle adjustments in minigame, in the blue when maneuvering, max when nailing target

Pretty much that.

edit: before last patch i lost almost all interdictions, and they were pretty unpredictable.

If you are struggling with interdictions like me, give it a try! By using his technique I was successful with 80% of my interdictions. :D

I find that I can perform interdictions for PP undermining no problem with my twisty stick but I have much harder time if I am using a rudder pedal setup. Might just be I lack an intuitive feel for the pedals.

Don't understand why you're having such probs, JL.

Monty, of Course only has an A3 'dictor but in recent times I've only once failed to pull off a press-gang job, and that was under 1.4.0. The only 'issue' I've had is the occasional 'failure to tether' error (leading to the annoying 'interdiction sounds until you drop out of SC' problem :( )

Your repair costs sound high too - I'm paying no more than about 10K per success, sometimes much less.

Thanks Lion. I haven't been having as much trouble lately. I've be making sure I get a lot closer to the target before I start the interdiction, and focusing on keeping the target centered immediately when the interdiction starts. I've been successful in about 85 to 90% of my attempts now. Repair costs for failed attempts are still too high, IMO. But my failure rate is much lower so it doesn't bother me much now. BTW, I'm using an A4 interdictor on my Python.
