Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

I'm finding what FD has been doing lately to be interesting. High paying missions, smuggling, trade. Basically putting the trade grind to a close. And now with the latest CG, the imperial rank grind might come to a close.
As a poster speculated in the main forum, is this a big push to get current players to try all the ships before Horizons comes out?
Might the next CG bring the Fed grind to a close?

I'll be very disappointed if the CG has any sort of lasting effect.

I was reading in game news. I noticed that the faction running sothis is trying to attract pilots to the system. Taking this into account it fits the narrative that fringe systems pay big for our support. I'm happy to fly 600 ly round trips with interdictions, fines and pirates. 12 million an hour seems to be just right.

I will have to do this 20 times to fit out an A grade Python.
