It's the way the game is meant to be played? Spending my game time with other commanders rather than against them. Who needs the stress?

A handful of commanders saw a glaring omission in E: Ds game modes, and decided to provide it free of charge. More than 12 thousand commanders have found their way here. To a sanctuary space that for all intents and purposes should have been implemented by FD.

I still shake my head in disbelief when I think about the time and effort a few good men have put, and are putting in to this group on a daily basis.

I don't think I'd be playing E: D much if it wasn't for this group.

It's the people here. This is such an amazing community! Passionate, still not zealous.
It's been 1 year in this community as an admin with thousands of active members and the number of times we actually had to intervene as admins or mods in anything is still in the single digits!

Off on an angle though, when a Forum says you can swear or whatever and the Mods will stay out of it unless intervening is totally necessary, have you noticed there's no 'hating' here?

Because I'm perfectly happy engaging with an NPC but not interested in demonstrating that I'm "better" than someone else because I can beat up new players with my fully tricked out ship. "Don't ruin other people's game" is a great philosophy.

Because this forum is generally positive - whereas visiting the official forum for more than information is like diving into a septic tank of entitlement, bile, and whining.
