Empire permits.... are they worth the effort?

I've been thinking about doing BB missions to get the Empire permits for Achenar, Summerland, and Facece, but after doing some research I haven't found any advantage in having them.
Am I missing something? What do these systems offer that is so special?

After 6 months play I am yet to be offered ANY Empire ranks at all, never mind permits.
(Yes, I raised a ticket with FD support)

In a word, no. There is nothing special about these systems, so unless there is a CG that involves them, there is no advantage to being able to go there.

I have Achenar permit but it doesn't add something, I first got my Sol permit just to see the beautiful stations but now I'm sleeping in one almost every night and that one does not need a permit

Thanks for the info, guys. I won't bother trying to gain access to those stations. Disappointing, FD.

It is kind of funny.. Achenar is supposed to be the seat of the Empire.. but Mobius's station is more fancy than any of them in Achenar.

So..... apparently I'm a moron. I am pretty darn sure that I checked my permits about a month ago, and I didn't have any.
I haven't done any missions specifically related to permits, so when the hell did all of this happen???

Are you allied with the power? that is supposedly how I got Achenar
I can go to Summerland now.. I guess because I got Baron?

Got to remember that as well as the system permits, it also allows you to buy the Courier and the Clipper once you've reached the appropriate rank

Same happened with me, I think you get them when you rank up. Some of the bulletin board missions improve your federal or imperial ranking. IMHO Alioth & Sol are definitely worth having. One advantage with all of them is that you'll be allied with all the factions within system so you'll have a lot more mission choices on the bulletin board.
