Agents of Mobius in open play. any rules

With parts of Mobius attempting to become a minor faction, all members will be carrying the Agents of Mobius banner with them when in open. (those that have pledged to the Agents)
So for these members, will any rules apply. As we all know, Mobius is a PVE only group, and are known as such, even the new Group (Agents of Mobius) has similar ideals set out.
So i don't think it would be a good thing for a Mobius Agent to go into open attacking other players without good reason.
So will there be any rules set out for Agents behaviour in open play.

I would expect the entirety of Code to sign up for the order for at least two reasons.

1, make unsuspecting targets think they have honourable intentions and then kill them.
2. sully the Orders name.

Unless we have full mmo guild like control on who pledges and what they do while under this banner (regardless of instance white list they play under) we are pretty much defanged and thus setting rules no one could enforce.
Just makes those settting those rules seem éfite and missing sight of reality, in other words both weak and insane..

You can't pledge to the Order of Mobius as it will not be a Power (as yet). So all you can do is to take missions on behalf of the OoM, same as with any minor faction. It will not be flagged on your ship etc. as far as I know.

I aggree. the PowerPlay as it is now (!) seems unsuitable for player groups. There could be a way by using a system fining players breaking fixed "basic rules" of a power (for example, attacking players without being attacked), but I can`t see that happening and don't know whether it would work anyway ...

But maybe the system will be changed with the introduction of player powers.

Specific decals would be a charm, though again, question is how to issue them to the right people (i. e., only members).

We have to adhere to the same rules as in the group.

Otherwise, what's to stop me killing a Mobius player in open, and for them to get me booted from the group on the strength of a "You were destroyed by CMDR Hardy" screenshot? It's not as if the admins can determine whether the screenshot was taken in the group or in open.

I hope I'm not misreading your post. I don't believe it is either possible or desirable for Mobius members to use Mobius rules in Open: the group play withing Mobius emphasises the difference between Open and Group. To have Mobius rules for some players in Open and not others is unworkable.

Isn't that the situation as it stands today?

as mentioned else where the order of Mobius faction is not a splinter group of the pve group, it is entirely a separate entity and will be treated as such.
only when playing within the elitepve group will rules of conduct be followed, this applies to any groups operating within our group, when in open you are free to play how you want.

Yep - exactly, which means that it's a rule we need to be following anyway, regardless of the Mobius faction. I didn't say it was a desirable way of playing - just that if we don't, it is open to abuse.

Let's say CMDR Hardy is a CODE follower (or whatever you'd call them). He joins the Mobius group, befriends a few Mobius CMDRs, and then sits at the main menu waiting to see one of those "friends" venture into open. He goes over to him, opens fire, deliberately gets himself blown up, and shows the screenshot to the admins. If I can think of it, they can.

Don't forget, these people "play their way" by interdicting newbie sidewinders, and just blowing them up for no reason. Before you say "they wouldn't go to that much trouble", it's worth noting that they have been faking membership of a newbie-aiding group to kill off newbies.

They could do that now though couldn't they? It's not new to the existence of the faction. Besides being an odd and aggressive thing to do, I can't see how they would be breaking any rules as long as they are in Open and don't try to tell people otherwise.
