Hello,
Just came across this thread on the main elite forums:
https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=182525And was just wondering who or what these "Mobius gankers" as mentioned in this post are.
Regards.
Have fun, fly safe.

I am pretty sure he is referring to a minor incident some time back when two code members joined our group by mistake.

They then went on killing a couple of members, bragged about it on the FD Forums and on reddit, pointed out how kewl they were by killing them although the members did
not fight back, and got kicked out of the group the same day.
This happened several months ago, almost nobody took notice, but it seems they are still telling each other the story by their campfire with tears in their eyes.
Other possibility is the poster is using the term as synonym for PvE ganker.

Hmmm....
Interesting to find out things regarding Mobius history.

I always wondered about this. How to keep out players who portray themselves as PvE players but who are really here just to pick on players, who they know will either not fight back or who realize too late that they are being purposefully attacked.
In Mobius, I always say "Hi" to any hollow contact on my sensor, and never deploy my weapons. When I get interdicted, I always assume its an NPC (although in that occasion, I submit, deploy weapons and claim the bounty.)
Thanks and regards.
Have fun, fly safe.

Always check who's interdicting you, because players don't even have to have murderous intent - they can be tired/not paying attention, and there is a bug where players may be displayed incorrectly on sensors with an NPC icon.

Have to admit that I get interdicted so much that it really annoys me and now I don't run. As soon as I am out, I see where they are on radar then turn and give em what for before I even confirm what the target is. Someone interdicts me, its not a friendly move.
Guess I'll have to try to check first now lol

When I get interdicted, and an eagle is telling my python "there's no escape!", I take extra pleasure in melting them down.

Sometimes it's hard to hit the little $%&@s because I am laughing so hard, especially if they attack without shields.

It's even funnier when they are still telling me they consign my corpse to the void, while they are FSD surging and trying to run away with 5% hull.
As for the OP, sometimes it does feel like a player is the one messing with you, but most of the time it's just a very thick AI trying to be a nuisance. But at least they talk to you nowadays, even if its petty insults regarding the lack of cargo in your hold xD Anyway, my tip would be to hold your fire at least until the scan finishes and a) the enemy is wanted b) the name doesn't start with CMDR. After that, melt away at your convenience.

I like the way the frequently take the time to tell you how well you're killing them.
There should be a thread on naff communications from the game.
