Interesting, here are the groups who've enlisted so far :
Achenar Immortals
Black Birds Squadron
The Imperial Inquisition
Battle Vortex
Planet Express
The Achenar Immortals are closely aligned to ALD. If they succeed and become a Power then ALD will have a satellite power faction that will be very loyal to them - similar to the Federation arrangement where Winters follows the Hudson directions every power cycle.
Btw, Power Collapse mechanic will reportedly be implemented by FD soon. We may see the demotion of the #10 Power faction to just a minor faction at the same time the Dangerous Games winner faction gets elevated to Power status.

I'm afraid not, the Order of Mobius is very small in comparison to many of the player lead minor factions, far too small to move into the Power Play arena.
Further, the Mobius groups are not popular with many of the denizens who inhabit Open, so we decided that the Power Play route would simply invite more trouble than it is worth.

Ahh, that's a shame really. Mobius may be unpopular with some of the open 'toe rags' but as a group it has a huge following and seems to be growing exponentially. Having it realised as a faction would be great. Thanks for the reply though, the silence on this thread was terrifying.

Is there a way a (mostly) lone explorer can help?
Such as, when I will have finished the Engineers grind with my exploration data, would selling the data at one of the OoM controlled stations help the faction, even if I am not pledged to it or anything?
