But that is nothing compared to the video mentioned in the newsletter!

its not his first video as he has done some others a few months back, it just didn't get the exposure it deserved. but still a great video using a simple technique.

Let's assume for one minute it has a three person cockpit like the Anaconda...

Scaled so the cockpits are more or less the same width

I'm probably way off the mark, but I did use the same process on the Courier mind you and was spot on.

We may be looking at a class of ship that can only land on planets? or perhaps it carries small ships for docking at stations?

Very rough, but taking a picture of an Anaconda on a landing pad in more or less the same orientation and then sizing it so that the cockpit windows are similar sizes.

I honestly don't think the large landing pads are big enough for that thing if your on with your calculations (i think you are if it worked with the courier). What if they have new docking pads...or what if they don't have pads for these large ships...what if they have like outside attachments or something. That would be sweet.

Looking at the Conda on it's pad, there's not a lot of room left at either end, so even if the Corvette was only 50% bigger than the Conda I don't think it would fit, so I agree we are going to be looking at something different.

Honestly, I'd guess that it would have a bridge with at least 4 or 5 chairs in it, maybe more. That would probably make the anaconda even smaller.... I could be totally wrong though.

I'm kind of hoping for a shuttle (be it some actual dinky shuttle, or a sidewinder/eagle/viper/hauler/whatever) that goes into stations. Would be a huge pain for cargo, but I doubt this is much of a cargo vessel anyway. Since we were told even an Anaconda was supposed to be able to launch a sidewinder, I don't see that as unreasonable.

Other thought.... maybe that's what those ARMS OF DEATH on Bacon Port in Gliese 868 are for? :-D
