This list will need updates at some point.
Diaguandri no longer has all ships. I should of took better notice, but the Fed Dropship is no longer there, nor the Cobra Mk iv or Keelback. Infact there is no faction ships there at all. Next time im back there I'll back note of what exactly is missing...

where would i get a discounted FDL or Python close to home area - currently at HIP 20277
Not sure if I have enough yet tho but in a 15mil Vulture with 40 mil cash.

Have you checked Inara, under galaxy / shipyard?
A basic FDL is $51M... with no upgrades. A 15% discount would get you a savings $7.6m. Insurance on the basic FDL is $2.6.
Cutting it a bit close on your budget, I'd say.

I would wait a bit.
The Vulture is an awesome ship and I love my FDL, but I don't know that you'd be happy with a FDL that is "rock stock" and you wouldn't be able to upgrade important modules for a while.

Made such a mistake before... Don't buy a ship and use it in it's stock configuration, its performance is horrid. If you have an already upgraded ship keep using it to pump out more credits until you can afford the cost of the ship plus the upgrades.

This is exactly what I did, my upgraded Sidewinder is still the main moneymaker. I estimate that I need to spend at least 700K to get my Viper mk4 her first round of decent upgrades so this list is very useful to me.

I agree with the above advice - so in the mean time, can someone tell me which system is closest to Azrael with the discount as my head hurts navigating the galaxy map at times...

Thanks for this thread. After last nights shenannigans in Okinura I'm back in LHS 3447 in a freewinder. My poor, gold, A rated AspEx... RIP. Now I get to work up another one, at a discount.
