Game ideas board

There should be a sub board for game ideas and suggestions. Maybe its just me, but I love suggesting new game ideas. Even if they don't have a chance of being implemented, I like hearing what other people have to say.

Instead of the beacon acting as a expensive mobile refueler, it would be cool if the beacon broadcasted a distress signal within X Ly of your position, so that all players and even NPC's within the X amount of Ly's can see you on the galaxy map.
Could make some pretty interresting scenarios, from a friendly player hauling you away or offering refueling to NPC/Player pirates jumping in.

I have suggested this on the Frontier forums but I always thought that ship to ship docking would be awesome.
1. Finding abandoned ships via exploring. The ship would be adrift either in a roll or flat spin. You would have to approach the ship and match it's roll or spin and dock with it. The target would be similar to docking at a station. Once docked, you could loot it.
2. Docking with another Cmdr. This would allow you to trade with the other commander.
I would pay another $60 if this was implemented.

Yesss, and maybe if the Thargoids get officially introduced as a hostile faction (or at least have a prelude to it), I'd like to have completely abandoned faraway systems with lootable derelict space stations and ship graveyards on former resource extraction sites as well.

Hacked ship transponders that you can buy on the black market.
You get interdicted by a pirate who thinks you're a Type9. It's only when you're in visual range in normal space that he sees you're a combat-equipped python with guns drawn.

Maybe an in-ship way of refining the ores you get into actual metals.
(Deleted it the first time round because I thought that was what the refinery did. I was wrong)

Being able to destroy a capital ship by firing a proton torpedo down the exhaust port.

The ability to fly a large, moon shaped space station whose main weapon, whilst not being able to destroy a planet, could give an Anaconda a pause for thought.

Here are some easy ones I'd like to see added:
1. Bookmarking systems
2. Journal entry system
3. Naming your ships
4. Able to read Galnet at Nav Points
