i may have managed to jag a lucky roll of the RNG, but i managed to go up two ranks to Count within a 24-hour period. (i don't recall why i needed to be a Count - gaining the Facece permit perhaps?)

i agree with the moving-around idea; that seemed to be the trigger for me, and it also worked previously when i wanted to rank up to Baron to buy a Clipper. select an Empire faction and work several missions exclusively for that faction and ignore all others at that station, then move to another system and repeat the process

I would say that yes that was a jag of good luck Clivewil. On the other hand there has to be a trick to it because using the location/s I found you can hit Baron in about 6-8 hours play time even with a crap RNG. It has not undergone strict testing, but it has worked for 4 total CMDRs.

Under the advisement of some friends I am keeping a lid on what I have found till power play is released. The two factors being that it could be some unknown factions home and I would be sending hundreds of people there to grind rep which would be very rude or it could be a bug of some kind.

I don't like to promote glitching so if it is a bug I will give them some time to fix it. Otherwise the noobs of this community will probably be getting a guide very soon.

Hey, I got to master without knowing it just did a few rep gaining missions within the same system, happened quick, been trading ever since but am about to start climbing now so will keep a tab if you wish.

While at master I was trading within empire systems a lot, unsure if this improves your rank at all.
Decided to further my rank went to Achenar (just wanted to do it there)
2 trade mish 2 smuggler hunts 1 rep gain food mish 1food delivery mish.
Ist N/A pops up destroy gen taylor, become wanted pay off bounty, no sign of rank increase
Hand in around 15 bounties found while searching for gen taylor.
2nd N/A destroy gen woods (was a criminal)
Became Squire.
3rd N/A pops up went to bed!
Only took around an hour tops to get to squire from master, but as I said don't know if trading helped before hand.

Since I was bored I did a few trade runs in my T7 and got bored again, so back to my eagle for BB missions.

I achieved Imperial Count on May 10th. Just as I was ready to log off last night, another NA mission popped up. It was almost midnight and I was tempted, but I decided to wait till tonight. Assuming it's still there and I can complete it, I will top out at Earl.

Looks like it's a Kill pirates mission. Each time I checked the numbers needed to kill and the time to complete kept changing. I will keep checking to get a low number in a long period before o accept

Then it's off to a CZ to see if I can make another faction hostile to me and my vulture.

Ok so 17 missions with hip life ltd and one kill mission a very small amount of trading and a naval ascension has popped up, currently at squire.
