I'm currently trading from Leesti where i sell at around 1500 credits per tonne profit, if anyone is passing through that area and finds themselves at George Lucas when i come in to dock you may find you get a wing invite from me.

if you are lucky enough to get one and accept before i sell my cargo this will give you a wing trade bonus of around 40k.

should more than three cmdrs be present when i dock its on a first come first serve basis but incoming invites will be accepted before outgoing invites are sent

You forgot to mention that you'll be getting a wing trade bonus of 40k too. You're cheating. It's an easy exploit to fix and I hope they do. I swear Frontier puts as little thought into this game a humanly possible.

only if the other person is also selling the same as me while in the wing, you don't get a trade bonus unless someone else makes a trade.

I don't think that's right. I set up a wing with CMDR Kelgrath last night which he accepted about 30sec before doing a trade at Zaonce. I got about 2½ K Cr for doing basically nothing.

Glad to hear it might not have affected his profits, though...

What Andy said is correct. If I docked with a wingman and sold a load of commodities but he didn't, only my wingman would get a trade dividend. I would just get the profits from my trade but nothing else. However if I team up with another wingman who is also a trader and he sells exactly the same commodity and amount as me, then yes we would both get a dividend for the same amount. That money gets paid by the station not by either wingman. Essentially you only get trade dividends from the profits of the other wingmen, NOT your own.

To be honest the amount is such small beans it was hardly worth them putting this in. I think some people are making more of an issue of it than it really warrants. The money for bounty hunting has gone up to a much better level now, so who's going to bother shadowing me for an hour in their Viper for a lousy 100k payout when they can make far more per hour in a RES. I'd much rather be able to pay folks a decent wage/cut of my profits for protection, than the system currently implemented. Even if the money is essentially free, it's not enough to make protecting traders a worth while proposition for anyone with a decent combat ship.

Sure if 4 traders in T9's got together they could milk the free money a bit. But A: you're very unlikely to see 4 T9's get together (they're competition) and B: the 3-4 million per hour they'll be making from their trades will far out shadow any money they make from the dividends.

I could see someone wanting to do escort duty for role playing, or being with friends, and you can get bounties from interdictions.

I could see traders wanting to team up to help protect each other and get the bonus, but if it wrecks the trade route then it's probably not worth it.

I'm 99% sure I got a wing bonus when I made a trade just after joining a wing, before heading out for team bounty hunting. I can't be sure someone else didn't also make a trade.

It sounded like you were using (paying) people to get a bonus and then dropping them. Sorry if I was mistaken.
