Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

In other words, when we have Community Goal (like now, Empire vs Blue Mafia) which can put two Cmdrs in the same instance in Combat Zone, but on different sides, how to deal with such situation?

Is PvP allowed in such instance only?
Should we mutually ignore each other (mind we might oversee in battle that other ship is a hollow triangle)?
Should we play in Open or Solo during such CGs to avoid being in situation to fight another Cmdr?

PVP isn't allowed even in a CZ. Your best bet would be to leave that particular CZ and move on to a different one. If PVP is what you are looking for then do so in Open. o7

I thought the rules are

Inside Conflict Zones the following rules apply:

It is not allowed to attack a neutral player (a player not having chosen a faction)
It is not allowed to attack another player while being neutral (not having chosen a faction oneself)
It is not allowed to attack another player on the own chosen faction
Only if both players have activly chosen opposing factions may they engage in combat
It is not allowed to exit and enter a warzone in rapid succession for the sole purpose of targeting other players. Only if the wrong faction was chosen by mistake or by mutual agreement of the present players (For example in order for everybody to join the same faction).

No - the PvP policy in a CZ is explicitly spelled out in the Policy tab at the top of the page.

Deliberate and sustained fire upon another Commander within any PvE-space of Mobius Community groups, resulting in the destruction of a human vessel will not be tolerated, the penalty is expulsion from all membership locations.

There is no PVP allowed in a Mobius PG, period.

There is no human killing human in Mobius - yes clear enough.

There used to be more cloudy rules regarding cz's but I believe these where streamlined sometime in 2016 or 17.

It used to be a gentleman's agreement, the problem was, that several people, for some reason or other, deliberatly entered CZ's on the opposing side just for the purpose to shoot other humans in the Mobius private groups. Basically, they were still ganking, but using a loophole.

The admin simply got sick and tired of the reports and always listing the same names.
So the policy was changed to "no pew-pew the hollows for any reason, ever." as well as removing the loophole miscreants.

So yes, dropping into another private group for mutual sparring, open, or solo is best advice, as long as it is not in a Mobius affiliated group.
